hookprint

Terms

The short version: your photos and your charts are yours, the free plan has a monthly cap, and you tell us you have the right to chart the photo you upload.

Who runs Hookprint

Hookprint is run by Kaleido Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17516332, whose registered office is at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ.

Questions about these terms go to support@gethookprint.com.

Your account

You need an account to make a chart, and the account is yours alone: keep your password to yourself, and tell us if someone else has it. You can close the account whenever you like from Settings, and your photos and charts go with it.

Your photos stay yours

You keep every right you have in the photo you upload and in the chart we make from it. You can crochet it, gift it or sell the finished piece. We only use the photo to make and re-edit your chart.

Before a conversion runs you confirm you have the right to chart that photo. Please mean it: a studio portrait, a licensed character or someone else's artwork is not yours to chart, and we will remove a chart made from one if we are told about it.

Plans and payment

The free plan has a monthly cap on conversions. A paid plan lifts it, and what each plan costs is shown on the billing screen before you pay. Payments are taken by Stripe; we never see your card number. A one-off purchase is a single payment, not a subscription, and a subscription you cancel runs to the end of the period you have paid for.

What we ask of you

Use Hookprint for charts, not for anything unlawful, and do not try to get around the plan caps, resell access to the service or put it under load it was not built for. We can suspend an account that does.

If something goes wrong

A chart is our best reading of your photo, and a photo with little contrast will lose detail however it is charted: check the chart and the stitch count before you buy yarn. The service is provided as it is, with no promise of uptime, and we are not liable for the cost of yarn, a finished piece or lost time. Nothing here limits a right the law gives you and does not let us take away.
